its very harmful to drink while your on accutane. its especially hard on your liver.
you'll notice you'll start to feel very weak, depressed, and completely drained of energy all the time if you continue to drink while using it.
my advice:
lay off the booze until your finished your medication |

yeah, when i was on accutane, and drank a lot, it wouldnt get me drunk AT ALL but i would feel soooooo depressed, and i had the worst hangovers when i woke up the next day. if i drink now, which is very very rarely, i try not drink more than 6 drinks, which is a lot less for me, cos im normally a real party girl and i drink at least 16 when i go out |

Wow, thats weird, I have been feeling depressed lately and I think its the alcohol mix with the accutane. I have drank about 5 shots of hard liquor everyday for the past week. Of course I feel good while the alcohol is in me, but when its over, I feel down. Can't wait till this treatment is over, I am buying cases of vodka as we speak... _________________ "Ignorance, the root and the stem of every evil."

I would definetly play it safe with accutane and alcohol.
Yor liver is getting caned enuff already with the pills, plus driking heavy aint good for you anyway.
Your not warned to reduce or completely elimintae alcohol intake for no reson . |

I completetly agree with FCUK.. Really guys accutane is a serious treatment. Its a teratogenentic drug and can have a negative impact in your nervous system. I would be really scared to take anything that could affect my mood while on such a heavy drug like this. So alcohol no thanks. I can have it later |

Hi guys - I am not (and have never been) an accutane user - also, I don't drink alcohol - BUT, maybe if you do continue to drink whilst on accutane you could supplement with something like Milk Thistle which detoxifies your liver? Just a suggestion. |

After that bad experience I quit the medication a couple days before New Years. Now that it's over though I'm back on it, drying out like crazy again, hard for a guy to go to the washroom to moisturize during te day, so I do it on the toilet!
Don't have to wash my hair everyday anymore either, a bonus as long as it doesn't fall out! _________________ "...send picture of boat and motor" |

alchohol cuases depression on its own without accutane. Throughout my entire course I drank a metric shitload of beer and all of my bloodtests were groovy baby. Now thats probably not a good idea or anything but Im just relaying my experience.
Overall I think that although it probably could be dangerous to drink while on accutatne i also think that its dangers might be overated. i might be wrong. _________________ "day of judgement god is calling.
